Class Summary
Foreign residents and Japanese residents communicate with each other using Japanese that can be easily understood. (*This is not a Japanese language class.) There will be a theme for each class and participants will talk about the theme in groups of 3-4 people. Both Japanese and foreign residents are considered to be participants rather than “Japanese language learners” and “Japanese learning support volunteers”.

The Japanese Club is a place where both Japanese and foreign residents living and working in the locally can come together to learn about each other’s culture and people, regardless of nationality and age. It is also a place where participants can chat together using Japanese that’s easy to understand. If you are a foreign resident who doesn’t have confidence using Japanese and feels nervous, or if you are a Japanese resident who doesn’t speak any foreign languages so feels hesitent to join… please feel free to come and take a look first! We look forward to welcoming you as a participant!
