What is the Gifu Prefectural Japanese Learning Support Center?
Consultations about learning Japanese (available in Japanese)
Consultation is available for those involved in local Japanese classes and those who are interested in local Japanese education. Consultation is also available from municipalities, companies and other organizations.
Examples of consultations:
・I would like to introduce foreign friends to places where they can learn Japanese.
・I am interested in supporting Japanese language learning, what sort of things can I do?
・I want to set up a new Japanese class in my local area.
・I would like to discuss issues that have emerged during classroom activities, etc.

Online Japanese classes
- If you live in an area where there aren’t any local Japanese classes running or if you are unable to attend a Japanese class in your area, online Japanese classes where you can learn the Japanese necessary for daily life are available.
Various training courses
- “Easy Japanese” training and public awareness for administrative staff and local Japanese people who often interact with foreign nationals.
- Various training courses are held to cultivate and nurture Japanese language education in the region.
Dispatching specialists
- Dispatch of Gifu Prefectural Regional Japanese Language Education Coordinators appointed by the prefectural government.
- Gifu Prefectural Regional Japanese Language Education Coordinators provide advice and support regarding setting up and running local Japanese classes, training linked to “Easy Japanese”, etc.
