The Hida Takayama International Association, which promotes internationalization in Takayama City (established: July 24, 1987), has its secretariat located within Takayama City Hall. Currently, its activities are carried out through the Mayor’s Office, Secretariat for Exchange Affairs. The association conducts foreign language courses to promote internationalization, organizes citizen overseas dispatches and receptions from sister and friendship cities, and engages in SNS communications to promote multicultural coexistence.
