Additional Special Measures (Extract Only Concerning the Demand for a Shortening of Operating Hours by Eating & Drinking Businesses)

Implementation Period: Until May 31st 2021 (Monday)
Expansion to the entire Prefecture of the Area Targeted by the Demand for a Reduction in Operating Hours of Eating & Drinking Businesses
○ Measures Until Now
・Targeted Businesses: 1) Eating & Drinking Businesses (including izakayas), Cafes etc.
2) Entertainment Facility business branches such as bars and karaoke boxes receiving operating permission in accordance with the Food Sanitation Law
・Demand Contents: Shortening of operating hours to from 5:00AM to 20:00
・No serving of alcohol for the entire day (including alcohol brought in by customers themselves)
・Restraint from use of karaoke facilities
・Targeted Areas: Gifu, Ogaki, Tajimi, Seki, Nakatsugawa, Hashima, Mino-kamo, Toki, Kakamigahara, Kani, Mizuho & Motosu Cities, and Ginan, Kasamatsu, Yoro & Kitagata Towns
・Demand Period: From May 9th (Sunday) to May 31st (Monday) (23 day period)
・Compliance Fund: Per Business Branch Per Day:
Small & Medium Businesses: 30,000 - 100,000 yen
Large Businesses: Reduction in daily sales x 0.4
(Upper limit of 200,000 yen per day. Small & medium businesses can also choose this option)

○ Expansion of the Areas Targeted by Special Measures
・Additional Targeted Areas: Takayama, Mizunami, Ena, Yamagata & Gero Cities and Mitake Town
・Demand Period: From May 16th (Sunday) to May 31st (Monday) (16 day period)
・Additionally, cooperation with the demand for a shortening in operating hours is demanded of large-scale gathering facilities etc. as specified in Section 1, Article 11 of the relevant ordinance in accordance with Section 9, Article 24 of the Law.
○ Demand for a Shortening of Operating Hours in Other Regions Etc.
・Targeted Areas: The twenty (20) municipalities not included as targeted regions for special measures.
・Demand Period: From May 16th (Sunday) to May 31st (Monday) (16 day period)
・Demand Contents: From 5:00AM to 20:00 (Serving of alcohol limited to from 11:00AM to 19:00)
・Restraint from use of karaoke facilities
・Compliance Fund: Per Business Branch Per Day:
Small & Medium Businesses: 25,000 - 75,000 yen
Large Businesses: Reduction in daily sales x 0.4
(Upper limit of either 200,000 yen or daily sales figure x 0.3 (whichever is lower) per day. Small & medium businesses can also choose this option)
