"Gifu Prefecture Compliance Fund (4th) to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19"

Related to the Demand for Cooperation with a Shortening of Business Opening Hours Implementation Outline

 

1. Outline

    Compliance Fund (4th) payments will be made to those business operators who have complied fully with the Prefectural Government's demands for a shortening of opening hours for the entirety of the demanded period, in order to help suppress the further spread of COVID-19 infection which continues to expand daily.

 

2. Application Process

    Applications for payment of this Compliance Fund (4th) can be made by those who meet all of the conditions outlined below:

  (1)  The business operator must have cooperated with the following demands. (Including those who temporarily closed their business for the period)

         Please be aware that the application guidelines are changing as of February 28th, as Gifu Prefecture has been removed from the Japanese Government's list of districts that should implement state of emergency measures.

・Demand Period: February 8th 2021 (Monday) - March 7th 2021 (Sunday)

・Targeted Business Types: Eating & drinking businesses

                   ※ Eating & drinking businesses (including izakayas) and cafes etc. 

                       (Excluding delivery and takeaway services etc.) Entertainment facilities etc.

                   ※ Bars & karaoke boxes etc. that have received operating permission in accordance with the Food Sanitation Law (excluding facilities such as Internet & Manga Cafes where it is expected that staying overnight is a reasonably common reason for use of the facilities).

・Demand Contents : (A) From February 8th (Monday) 2021 until February 28th (Sunday) 2021

                                  Shortening of opening hours to from 5:00AM until 8:00PM (However,

                                  alcohol should only be served from 11:00AM until 7:00PM)                          

                                 (B) From March 1st (Monday) 2021 until March 7th (Sunday) 2021

                                  Shortening of opening hours to from 5:00AM until 9:00PM

                                  (However, alcohol should only be served from 11:00AM until 8:00PM)

(2) The business must have acquired a "Sticker for Business Branches Implementing COVID-19 Measures" having Strictly adhered to to the Guidelines for Each Type of Business and the "Behavior Guidelined for Living Through COVID-19 Society".     

(3) The business  branch must be located within Gifu Prefecture. 

(4) The business must received all of the relevant operating permissions a required for the type of business that it is.

(5) The business must be an eating & drinking business or entertainment facility that has been operating between 20:00 (8:00PM) and 5:00AM from before the period of demand. (For the period on and after March 1st (Monday 2021, the business must be an eating & drinking busiess or entertainment facility that is recognized as having factoperated between 21:00(9:00PM) and 5:00AM from before the operation demand).

(6) The applicant must be a person with the authority to decide the opening hours and the contents of the business operations of the relevant business branch.

(7) Eating & drinking businesses involving hospitality service (such as hostess or host clubs), karaoke facilities & live houses must have created and submitted an Infection Prevention Measures Manual and have had it checked and confirmed.

(8) The applicant must not have submitted a false or improper application for the earlier "Gifu Prefecture Compliance Fund (1st, 2nd, 3rd) to Prevent the Further Spread of COVID-19".

(9) The company must have no employee, representative or director of the business who is involved in criminal gangs or other such anti-social activities and the running of the business must not be under the influence of any criminal gang.

(10) The applicant is not an individual or corporation which operates a business which the Governor has recognized as having been a place where COVID-19 infection has spread during the formation of an infection cluster in the period from February 7th 2021 (Sunday) until the day on which the decision of whether to grant the fund is made.

3. Amount Paid

    Please be aware that the amount of the compliance fund payment is changing as of February 28th, as Gifu Prefecture has been removed from the Japanese Government's list of districts that should implement state of emergency measures.

(A) From February 8th (Monday) 2021 until February 28th (Sunday) 2021

      ¥1,260,000 per business branch (21 days x ¥60,000)

(B) From March 1st (Monday) 2021 until March 7th (Sunday) 2021

   ¥280,000 (7 days x ¥40,000)

※ We will make a payment of the Compliance Fund even if you newly cooperate with the demands following March 1st (Monday) 2021 as long as you meet all of the other application requirements.    

※ If you cooperate for the entire total period of both periods (A) and (B), we will make a total payment of ¥1,540,000 (¥1,260,000 + ¥280,000).

4. Application Submission Period

  From March 12th 2021 (Friday) until April 16th 2021 will be accepted.

  ・ Applications postmarked April 16th 2021 will be accepted.

    ・ Please be careful as we will not be able to accept late applications.
